Interview - CBM Corp How long have you been working at CBM Rail?
I have been working at CBM Rail for two and a half years now. I started as a temporary worker in April 2023, subsequently I was hired on a permanent contract.
Which is your career at CBM Rail?
I started with the production of spare parts kits for the maintenance of tramway equipment. Subsequently, I was trained in the production of shunts (cable assembly). I also do assembly of special railway connectors on headlight optics. I have the Certificate of Competence for the Operation of Machinery which allows me to come on support to the receiving and shipping team.
If you had to describe your job as technical operator at CBM Rail?
It is a polyvalent job with many processes to respect. My job blend technical skills, rigor and have strong consciousness about security rules related to our job who concerned passenger transport.
What do you like in your job?
The diversity of tasks to be accomplished, autonomy, challenge and rigor.
Can you give one advice for someone who wishes to become a technical operator?
Being polyvalent because every day of the week is different. Have some information technology skills but also be manual and be able to adapt to the daily needs of the CBM rail subsidiary.

Interview - CBM Corp How long have you been working at CBM?
I have been working at CBM for almost four years.
What has been your career path at CBM?
I started as a procurement officer for two years. I planned and tracked orders from numerous European suppliers. I was also responsible for restocking our Italian subsidiary, VAR.
Two years ago, I moved on to new responsibilities: I took advantage of an internal transfer opportunity to become a buyer.
If you had to describe your job as a buyer at CBM?
Being a buyer at CBM means acting as the interface between the technical, procurement and sales departments and our suppliers. My role is to work with them to obtain favourable terms for our customers, ensure the quality of parts and anticipate market developments with the sales team so that CBM has the most relevant product range.
What do you like about your job?
The analysis, negotiation, technical aspects of the parts and contact with our suppliers… all of this makes the job very stimulating. I enjoy working with many different departments within the group.
Any advice for someone who wants to become a buyer?
If you want to become a buyer at CBM, you need to be curious and eager to understand the market and its products. You will need to analyse, negotiate and build lasting relationships with your suppliers. It is a job that requires rigour and a good ability to adapt.

Which is your career at CBM Company?
I arrived at CBM Company with an interim contract on sales administration department. My job has evolved with CBM evolution. Over the years, I was offered work on larger projects. In 2024, big career job, I am becoming a commercial for the Ile-de-France region.
If you had to describe your job as commercial at CBM?
Being commercial at CBM, it is above all to be the intermediary between the company and its customers. My part is to understand customer needs, to offer them our new products, services and to develop a long-term relationship based on trust. Concretely, I am customer wallet, I negotiate prices, I ensure customer satisfaction. It is a job where you must be attentive, reactive and persevering.
What do you like in your job?
What I like is the diversity: no day is the same. I met different people, I have business challenges, and each success is a real satisfaction. This job allows to develop diverse skills: communication, negotiation, organization. And then, it is motivating to know that your work contributes directly to the growth of the company.
Can you give one advice for someone who wishes to become a commercial?
I would say you have to like interacting with people, have challenge taste and the most important, not to be discouraged by rejection: it is part of the job. You have to keep a positive attitude.
